During the days 15-18 of June took place the XIII Colloquium of Urban Geography, in this occasion organized by the Department of Geography of the University of Girona. Under the title New urban scenarios: new conflicts and new policies, the argument of the meeting was twofold. On the one hand, it proposed a reflection on the post-crisis situation of the cities -without putting in question that the prefix is adjusted to reality-, and the state of the inherited urban problems and the policies to face them. On the other hand, the second debate argument focused on the impacts of the crisis and the new ways of responding to it in border territories (such as Girona), with the intention of being able to compare urban realities very close but with legal frameworks, traditions , ... different.
