Description
Musical creativity is much more than a teaching resource: it is a universal ability and an educational right that humanises, transforms and connects. This book brings together the results of the CREDMUS project, a collaborative research initiative between six Catalan universities and several primary schools, which has produced a catalogue of twelve training proposals to promote creativity in initial teacher training.
With an innovative and interdisciplinary approach, the proposals offer practical resources, based on observation and experience, to strengthen the link between university and school. It defends creativity as a key axis for the 21st century, understood not only as composition or improvisation, but as an attitude, process and shared experience.
In times of standardisation and quantitative assessments, this book advocates for a more humane and transformative education, where music and creativity become drivers for rethinking the role of teachers and opening paths towards a more democratic and emancipatory school.
