This book brings together seven texts on the work of the Catalan artist Àngel Jové (1940-2023), written by Maria Pertile, a philologist, historian of the Italian language and descendant of an illustrious lineage of Italian musicians and pianists. Written between Girona, Venice and Florence, the book traces how the author has come to grasp the impact and aesthetic meaning of Jové’s work through her own education and sensibility, closely bound to the reading and study of literature and poetry, as well as to her friendship with the artist, their shared conversations and the deep contemplation of his work.
