This third volumen of the series Lèxic, corpus i diccionaris, compiles the lectures of the first course of the doctoral program 1996-1997 of of the Institute for Applied Linguistics (IULA) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. The core of the lectures is the units of lexis, understood as nuclear element of language organization. The lectures differ in their perspective of how to treat lexis and the various models that allow to describe it.n
