Dans ce travail, la catégorisation de l’habitat rural du nord-est catalan est envisagée. Cette catégorisation a été réalisée à partir de l’analyse détaillée d’éléments divers propre à chaque à un établissement: type de construction, surface de l’occupation, existence d’éléments somptuaires, etc. Suite à cette étude, l’habitat rural de ce territoire de l’extrême nord-est de la péninsule ibérique a été divisé en sept catégories, de la plus à la moins complexe: vici, villas suburbaines, villas côtières, villas rurales, établissements ruraux dépendants, établissements artisanaux et mansiones.
