Per a fer-ho s’utilitzen fonts d’informació diverses, tant de caràcter quantitatiu com qualitatiu (estadístiques, cartografia, fotografies històriques i actuals, textos literaris, entrevistes…), juntament amb un nombre considerable d’elements gràfics, fotogràfics i cartogràfics, no només com a il·lustracions sinó com a elements argumentals. La pretensió és oferir una visió holística de l’evolució i la percepció del paisatge forestal, posant èmfasi en l’impacte de les activitats econòmiques i dels incendis, per plantejar potencials escenaris paisatgístics de futur.
